A certificate awarding ceremony for participants of the English Conversation Program was held at the Colonel John Robinson American Corner found in St. Mary’s University, Addis Ababa on December 8, 2023. The ceremony was graced by His Excellency Ervin Jose Massinga, the US Ambassador to Ethiopia, Wondwosen Tamrat (PhD), Founder and President of St. Mary’s University, and other top management officials of the University and distinguished guests.
During the ceremony, the Ambassador awarded certificates to the program participants and delivered a speech that reminded them that the event was a testament to the success of the 12-week English conversation program aimed to improve its participants’ English language proficiency.
The program was designed to provide a conducive environment for participants to practice their English language skills and improve their confidence in speaking English. It was also open to all individuals who wanted to improve their English language skills, regardless of their background or level of proficiency.

After the ceremony, the Ambassador visited St. Mary’s University facilities and discussed issues related to the University with the top management at the President’s Office.
The Ambassador appreciated St. Mary’s University’s commitment to helping the American Corner carry out various activities useful for the community.
