A half-day training was given to St. Mary’s University staff of the Testing Centre about the Learning Management System (LMS) at the Main Campus on March 28, 2023, by Solomon Hunegnaw,Director of ICT Development and Support Unit (ICTDSU) and Mohammed Ali. During the training, it was remarked that LMS – a learning management system- is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation, and delivery of educational courses. It is also a set of software tools designed to manage user learning interventions including online, virtual classroom, and instructor-led courses. To this effect, it was noted that the University has been putting so much effort that now it is using LMS for learners to manage, their progress and performance across all its programs. It is expected that the training participants have learned about the practical steps to create an assignment assessment and evaluation of students, and how to make available downloadable reading materials
