A memorandum of understanding is signed between St. Mary’s University and Abarar University- Somalia on Nov. 22, 2022. Ahmed A. Hassan – Kadle (PhD), Dean of Abarar University-Somalia and Wondwosen Tamrat (PhD), President of SMU have signed the agreement.

The goal of the agreement is to facilitate cooperation which leads to mutually beneficial collaboration between the two universities.

During the agreement, the Dean of Abarar University remarked that he has profound interest in partnering with St. Mary’s University, especially in the field of Business and Economics because currently the University has expanded its horizon to eight branches. 

The President of SMU, on his part, said, St. Mary’s University is a pioneering private university in Ethiopia and has long years of experience in the fields of education, research, and training activities. In this regard he showed the University’s readiness to work with Abrar University on various joint undertakings and to offer assistance, where there is the need.
