As part of its strategy to become a center of excellence in the generation of knowledge and information in areas of private higher education research, RaKMO has established the Center for Private Higher Education Research in Ethiopia (CPHERE). The center has the following vision, mission, and goals:
Vision: to see CPHERE as a source of information, knowledge, and database for academicians, development practitioners, and policymakers who are working on issues of PHEIs in the country and elsewhere in the world.
Mission: to collect research articles, student papers, policy briefs and discussion papers that are done on PHEIs in Ethiopia so as to serve as a clearing house for private higher education research. It will also have a mission of identifying research partners at national, regional and international levels that could serve as a source of knowledge and capacity building for the sector.
Goal: to contribute to the generation of knowledge and information in the private higher education sector in Ethiopia and encourage researchers who are interested in working on the sector but constrained by poor access to information, data base and research funds.
