Established in 2004 by Harvard University students from Africa, YALDA has a robust history of empowering African youth. Currently, we are collaborating with the AfCFTA Secretariat, Afreximbank, UNECA, ITC, and UNDP to address information asymmetry on intra-Africa trade among Africa’s youth entrepreneurs through our Umoja for Africa Campaign.

As part of this initiative and in collaboration with the aforementioned prestigious organizations, St Mary’s University is selected for15-20 of your young entrepreneurs (aged 18-35) to attend the 8th YALDA biennial i-Boot Camp. Scheduled to take place from the 21st to 25th of February 2024 at the Africa Future Center, University of Pretoria, this intensive training program focuses on empowering participants in trade and entrepreneurship within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The i-Boot Camp also provides a unique opportunity for your young entrepreneurs to connect with industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and receive potential investment to grow their businesses across borders. They will also have the chance to pitch their business growth expansion plans for a $25,000 investment from YALDA.

The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), in cooperation with Sias University, in China is offering 100 scholarships to students from AUAP Member schools every semester starting spring 2023.

Thus, St. Mary’s university is officially invited to nominate its students for the scholarships. Further, Sias University will waive the registration fees and also tuition fees during their study at Sias.  Moreover, online courses are also offered Free of Charge to students of AUAP members.
