St. Mary’s University was invited to the launching of the Amharic play by Arthur Miller, “Death of a Salesman,” translated and adapted into Amharic as “Ye Aba Wera Guzo” by Alemayehu Gebre Hiwot and directed by Tekle Desta, on March 5, 2023, at the National Theatre.
The production team acknowledged St. Mary’s University for providing a place for the rehearsal and showed gratitude for availing additional auditoriums and audiovisual materials.
As a mark of recognition, the production team awarded the University a “Kirar”, a traditional string musical instrument. Elias Getaye, President of the Student Union, received the award representing the University.
St. Mary’s University’s Student Club leaders and invited guests from the University were in attendance.
